The data from our clients shows that most of their referrals come from former patients, fellow doctors, and staff at the hospital or surgery center. From conversations with prospective clients we know that the vast majority of surgeons spend 99% of their marketing budget on advertising other than soliciting referrals.. So 1% of the marketing expenditures create 40-60% of revenue from surgery.

The money spend on radio is NINE times as effective as the money spend on yellow pages and SIX times as effective as newspaper advertising. However, newspaper advertising and yellow page advertising is the dominant method to advertise for plastic as well as LASIK surgeons.
